We have a 72-Hour Cancellation Policy. If you wish to cancel or modify a reservation, you must do so by 2 PM 72-hours or 3 days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel or modify post the expiration of the Cancellation Period or you fail to show up, a no-show charge will be levied on your credit card for one full night plus tax. Early departures are considered last-minute cancellations and are non-refundable. Holidays & special events are subject to seasonal rates. Non-refundable reservations cannot be canceled or modified - total reservation amount will be charged in case of cancellation or no-show.


The Kohea Kai Hotel is located at 551 South Kihei Road at the southwestern shore of Maui, near the Piilani Highway 31. Our hotel is fifteen minutes away from the Kahului Airport (OGG.)  The popular tourist destinations Wailea and Makena are ten minutes away, Lahaina is thirty minutes away, and Hana is a scenic one hour drive from our location. 


The Kohea Kai offers an ideal location, spacious and well-appointed guest rooms, and excellent lifestyle amenities. Guests of our island hotel enjoy lush gardens, and an outdoor pool and hot tub.   In-room amenities include complimentary local calls, microwaves and refrigerators, flat-screen TVs, and premium bedding. Black-out curtains are standard, and in-room coffee makers are included. Also available are our concierge, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and of course, stunning panoramic views of the ocean.

This property is privately owned, and the management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind. Once checked in, no cancellations. All linens are inventoried: missing or damaged linens will be charged.  Any damages to hotel property will be charged an additional fee upon assessment. Any damages to hotel property will be charged an additional fee upon assessment. This is a NON-SMOKING facility. There is no smoking or vaping in the guest rooms or pool area. There are a few designated smoking areas on the property. Guest acknowledges that smoking and vaping is not allowed in a guest room or the pool area. If anyone in guest's party smokes or vapes in the guest room, or any non-designated smoking areas, the guest hereby expressly authorizes hotel management to charge the credit card the amount to reimburse the property for the additional cost of cleaning a guest room. NO PETS ALLOWED.  Any guest who violates the pet policy will be charged a cleaning fee. If your reservation has been paid in advance or you elect to pay by cash, a security deposit via credit card will be required upon check-in and will be charged in the event that damages outlined herein occur. The hotel takes a credit preauthorization but does not accept cash deposits.
